Welcome!

We help feral animals

Almería Animals is a not for profit charity that aims to improve the well being of feral animals by intelligent population management, and by working with local land owners to ensure feral animals have a place to live

FROM LOS GALLARDOS TO THE PROVINCE

ANIMAL MANAGEMENT

Almeria Animals works with local vets, councils and landowners to help local populations of feral animals.

Trap - Neuter - Return

Trap-neuter-return is a humane, non-lethal alternative to the trap-and-kill method of controlling cat populations. Trap-neuter-return (TNR) is a management technique in which homeless, free-roaming (community) cats are humanely trapped, evaluated and sterilized by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated against local diseases, and then returned to their original habitat.

Feral cats cannot be rehomed once wild, as they won't settle into human homes. But our TNR scheme both gives them a natural life and stops more kittens from being born, breaking the cycle that causes so much misery.

WHAT WE DO AND DON'T

OFFER YOU

WE DON'T TAKE ANIMALS AWAY

There are plenty of local animal charities working to rehome animals. We don't do that, and can't help you if you have stray animals. We aim to educate and control, not assist on an animal by animal basis

We work with local land owners

We work with local councils, communities and land owners to help implement strategies to control and live with colonies of feral animals, ensuring their survival and health

helping urbanisations

Is your urbanisation over run by feral animals? By implementing a trap - neuter - release scheme you can control the population, and prevent new animals from coming onto the territory already marked by the neutered animals, ensuring equilibrium is reached
